This is going to be the last meeting of 2016, the last meeting of our Time Trilogy, and the meeting is about The Final Destination! The ends of our lives always seem distant, that it will come to us in our latest years as we have grown to old age. But is it really? Is the end near or far for us? Is the Day of Judgement still a distant date we shan't worry about, or is it right around the corner? And more importantly, how can we prepare for it? As we hit the second meeting of our Time Trilogy, StuyMSA will be moving its discussion into the present day, where we'll discuss (as the title suggests) current events! We'll be talking about things going on in the world, from nations abroad to right in our own homes. This meeting is going to be very discussion-based and is often really fun, so we hope to see you there iA! Starting Friday, December 2nd, 2016, StuyMSA will hold its first Meeting Trilogy: Time and its Worth. The first meeting (this Friday), called The Beginning of Time, will be a discussion of the origin of the universe, beings, and humanity. Second Meeting will be Current Events on Dec. 9th Third Meeting will be the End of Time on Dec. 16th. We will also have a fun activity on Wednesday, Nov. 30th, after school on the 8th floor. Please come and join! This Friday, November 18th, 2016, we will hold our first Gender-Separated Meeting, insha'Allah. In this type of meeting we'll ask questions and discuss problems that may affect each gender. We'll also get to better know each other by: getting to know people who take the same trains, sharing contacts, and learning about each others' upbringings. The meeting will be held in two rooms on the 7th floor (730s to 740s). Jinn. The word has different meanings for different people. What are they really? What can they do? Are they friend or foe? How/can they interact with humans? What other kinds of supernatural phenomena are in Islam? And, what stories do YOU have about such things? Come up to the 7th floor after 10th on Nov. 4th for one of the most interesting and fun meetings of the year insha'Allah! Hope is a powerful feeling. It's what keeps people determined and motivated in life, and prevents them from giving up. However, hardships are unavoidable.
