From heart and soul
To body and mind
Brings man to a path
That is most unkind

A man leads a life
That holds no meaning
And hides behind a mask
That is bright and beaming

He recalls the time
When he was honest last
But with sorrow and grief
Knows those times have passed

Every night he looks
Upon his mirror with dread
And ponders to where
his sincerity fled

A heart of desires
And a soul of dust
Leaves a golden body
And mind to rust
